2023 BMW XM

Let’s start with what’s under the hood; the XM is powered by the M HYBRID system consisting of a new 483hp V8 engine with M TwinPower Turbo technology and a 194hp electric motor integrated into the eight-speed M Steptronic transmission. This plug-in hybrid drivetrain produces 644hp and 590 lb-ft of torque and sends it to the M xDrive all-wheel-drive system, making it the most potent current production BMW. This system also enables up to 30 miles of pure electric driving.

Design-wise, the XM is a two-row, five-seater SAV, considerably larger than the X5 and X6 but smaller than the X7. Inside, a two-tone blue and brown leather color scheme is available, and iDrive 8 is standard. Outside, the XM takes some cues from the X7 with split headlights. In addition, quad exhaust tips, the diffuser, and 23-inch wheels are standard, giving the SAV an aggressive racy look. Lastly, BMW M designed a character line on the sides of the vehicle that rises at the rear door, giving the nod to the classic BMW Hofmeister kink.
