It’s time to take a look back at your and our favorite Autobahn BMW Journal posts in 2022! When we started the Journals in January, our goal was to highlight the best of the best and deliver informative and visually pleasing content. And after a year’s worth of content, we’re excited to continue the journals for 2023!

For BMW, we have three posts across our Facebook and Instagram pages that you guys loved. And for a bit of fun, let me, your dear writer/photographer/videographer, insert a few comments about the posts. 

2023 BMW M4 COMPETITION XDRIVE

M Cars are still the best of the best, and the M4 Competition xDrive is an excellent showcase for the power of BMW M. 

The inky blacks of the Black Sapphire Metallic paint look so good on camera and in person. And the Fjord Blue interior is shockingly a great color combo with the rest of the car. 

2023 BMW X7

The 2023 X7 refresh modernizes the already modern X7 thanks to the glass controls, iDrive8, and the exterior changes that create an overall design language for the 7 vehicles, be it the sedan or the SAV.

The 2023 X7 is one stunning vehicle inside or out. The wooden trim, glass controls, and the Bowers & Wilkins speaker grilles are really eye-catching. The inside of the car feels more like an art piece rather than a vehicle interior. 

2023 BMW M8 COMPETITION GRAN COUPE

Twin-turbo V8 with the M Performance Exhaust and the Frozen Pure Grey Metallic paint… what a fantastic spec.

The showroom was insane during this period; we had this M8 GC, an M8 Competition Convertible, and an M850i simultaneously. We had initially planned to make a video comparing the exhaust noise of all three cars(I think I still have the video of the M8 GC on my phone) but unfortunately, two of the vehicles sold at the same time, so we had to scrap those plans. That would’ve been a killer video. 

Facebook Favorite: COME EXPERIENCE THE 2023 BMW I7!

The i7 just arrived a few weeks ago, and it’s already turning heads in the showroom. The theater screen in the backseat is glorious, and the sound system is out of this world. So definitely come in and experience the opulence the i7 brings.

 The i7 is one of the most out-of-this-world experiences I’ve had playing with cars. I think I spent over an hour sitting in it, pressing every button or screen to see what it does. Stay tuned to our socials and the journal because we have some really cool things planned with the i7. 

Instagram Favorite: 2022 BMW M5 CS

A race car for the streets… the M5 CS is a limited-run M5 that blows everything out of the water. 

The yellow laser headlights almost melted my brain haha. I watch a lot of racing, F1, DTM, spec-Miata, rally, etc., so when Brian Hodge went over to the car and turned on the yellow lights, I was legit surprised. It was one of the coolest things I’ve ever seen. 

Personal Favorite: 2022 BMW I4 EDRIVE40

Seeing iDrive8 firsthand and understanding how it feels to drive an electric BMW sports sedan was a cool experience. There is no doubt that this is a BMW sports sedan, even if the engine is electric. 

The whole experience really left a positive impression on me; I feel an i4 is destined to be in my garage one of these days.
