Consumer Reports: BMW Make The Most Reliable European Vehicles

Consumer Reports recently released its annual auto reliability rankings, and BMW placed in the top 3 of the rankings!

Jumping up ten spots from last year’s ranking, BMW placed third on this year’s charts, right behind Toyota and Lexus. Based on a scale from 0 to 100, BMW scored 65, while the next European brand, Audi, scored 60 and was ranked number 6.

Consumer Reports obtains its data by asking its members about problems they’ve had with their cars in the last 12 months. This method gave CR the data for 300,000 vehicles from the year 2000 to 2023. This information is then narrowed down to 17 trouble areas like the engine, transmission, electronics, and more.
